Client is one of the leading financial service companies of India that provides investing and trading services to over 1.30+ lac customer through its 700+ investment centers spread over 1750+ cities in India.

THE STORY

Being from financial industry, the client needs daily full backup.
Client was facing lots off issues with previous as well as new data backup.

Even after having 16 Windows and Linux servers & daily full backup size of 0.6 TB on the servers, the client needed to take backup on USB hard drives. Usage of such non-enterprise hard drives was creating a lots of issues such as piling up of multiple hard drives, risk of data loss, high maintenance cost, complete dependency on hard drives, etc.

In the above case, we used data engineering to manage data and deep archived then transferred it to AWS using Snowball. We also implemented Cloud berry backup solution on server for daily data backup. Earlier the backup server and other servers were different. Thus we merged all server backup at one Server where Cloudberry installed using push-pull technology.

At present the client faces no issues with regards to data storage and backup. The risk of data loss has been completely minimized and data backup has become more efficient.
